Does the broken rusty sword represent the armed forces. The anchor (Navy) is broken, the bird, (Air Force) has a cut wing. Have the Canadians been cutting back on their armed services.

Good eye for detail, Azure Sky - the Canadians did cut back a lot, and are just beginning (supposedly) to rebuild and have been given more money. Right now we could probably defend ourselves against - a Boy Scout troop.

1) Broken Wing represents crashing Sea King helicopters 2) Broken Anchor represents defective submarines 3) Broken sword represents the fact that if Canada was confronted with an attacker, we would have approximately 9 minutes worth of ammunition.
