Larry Birkhead's statement and lawsuit came right after Smith's lawyer and current boyfriend Howard K. Stern announced that he was the father of Smith's newborn daughter. ] You know, it's becoming popular to be Smith's baby father these days. First her lawyer, then this Mr. nobody Larry Clown Birkhead say they're the bio-daddies. God knows who's the next in line claiming the father's rights, but I am sick of all this and think it's time the world knows the truth - I am the true biological father of Anna Nicole Smith's newborn baby. And it just makes me laugh how these clowns Stern and Birkhead try to claim the fathership, because it's obvious for everybody that, given the timing of the events, I am the proud biological father. So, let them make fools of themselves, while I file a lawsuit for father's rights and child support. And you're dead ass wrong if you think it's about the million dollar child support I will get. It's about my child whom I care for and whom I don't want to lose. BTW, was it a boy or a girl, I forgot?

| | More often than not, a typical paternity suit has the man denying he fathered a child. However, in the case of Anna Nicole Smith and her latest child (who was born a few days before her son died under mysterious or strange circumstances) two men are claiming to be the father. This includes Smith's lawyer, Howard K. Stern, who says he is the father of the child who has been named Dannie Lynn Hope. Smith and Stern apparently have exchanged what are being called non-legal wedding vows and have indicated that they do plan to tie the knot legally. However, Larry Birkhead, who is Smith's former boyfriend, says that he is the father of the child. He has filed a lawsuit demanding that Smith return to California with the baby. He wants paternity test - DNA testing - performed. Smith was served with court papers regarding this lawsuit on Monday. If DNA tests do confirm that Birkhead is the biological father of the child, he will seek visitation rights and possibly even custody. Birkhead's attorney has stated that he wants to be involved in the life of the child if it is proven that it is his child. Smith could not be reached for comment regarding this latest development. Stern's cell phone message box was filled. |
