| As over twenty swimmers were making their way through an ocean swimming race off the coast of Australia, they ended up being stalked by a three meter long shark. The Cole Classic race off of Sydney's Manly Beach was ended halfway through as the swimmers were hauled from the water to avoid a confrontation with the swimming shark. The race did involve some of the top long distance swimmers in Australia. The shark's dorsal fin actually was spotted slicing through the water not far behind the swimmers. Boats and jet skis pulled the swimmers from the water as other boats attempted to chase the shark away.
