Alec Baldwin (real name – Alexander Rae Baldwin III) was born on April 3, 1958 in Massapequa, New York State, USA. He graduated in “Political Sciences” from George Washington University, Washington and attended New York University to study acting at Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York. “The Doctors” in 1963 was his debut film. He also worked in theater and on Broadway (fairy tale of Craig Lucas “Prelude to a Kiss” and satirical grotesque of Caryl Chruchill’s “Serious Money”). Alec's brothers — William, Daniel and Stephen Baldwin’s are also actors.

American actor Alec Baldwin celebrated his 50th birthday this Thursday. Baldwin comes from the family of actors and is the oldest and the most famous of the Baldwin brothers. Some of Alec's recent notable performances include the boxoffice hits "The Aviator" and "The Departed". Baldwin married Kim Basinger in 1993, and they were considered one of the best Hollywood couples. Sadly this marriage ended in 2002, and currently Baldwin is writing a book about his personal life.
