| The great genius Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. His
family soon moved to Switzerland where he entered Polytechnic School
in Zurich to study teaching in mathematics and physics. Albert
graduated in 1901, and could not find a teaching job, thus he decided
to accept a position in Swiss Patent Office, where he started working
on his doctorate degree. Einstein accepted Swiss citizenship the same
year, and obtained his doctorate degree in 1905.
Gradually Albert's scientific works were making his name more known
in physics and mathematics, not just in Europe where he has been
lecturing extensively, but also in America, where he was offered a
position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton. Einstein
accepted the offer and moved to the Uniter States, where he became a
citizen in 1940.
Albert had his own vision of problem solving in physics and
mathematics - besides the clear solutions, he viewed each solution as
a step in solving the next bigger problem. He was a never stopping
perfectionist in science, always looking for the next advance in
understanding the nature of physics.
His special theory of relativity - his most famous work - was born to
unite the laws of mechanics with the laws of electromagnetic physics.
This was it helped to generalize both fields of physics and mend the
shortcomings of Newtonian mechanics.
Other famous Albert's scientific works include papers in theory of
gravitation, quantum theory, and the theory of radiation and
statistical mechanics.
For his contribution to science, Albert Einstein was awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921. |
