If I could make a suggestion... if you were to put each plane and it's trail on separate layers the smoke trails wouldn't blur together.

Thanks Katie, will try it next time. Anyway, contrails are actually steam from the combustion of the jet fuel and not actually smoke. Just a bit of info to amaze your friends with.
