| | Both a pilot and an auto driver in Germany escaped unharmed when a one-seater plane actually landed on top of a speeding automobile in the German town of Bitburg. A spokesman for the Bitburg police said that it really was a miracle that no one was hurt. There was a considerable amount of damage done to both the car and the plane. The driver was racing at 100 miles per hours with 11 other members of a local Porsche club at the airport -- which was a former U.S. airforce base. The single engine plane accidentally landed on the roof of the car. The driver, who was understandably shocked, slammed on the brakes which, in turn, sent the plan crashing to the ground.
