A good idea but you will need to correct the shadow slightly. Remove the shadow for now and create a duplicate layer of the hat. Turn off the highest layer of the hat. On the lowest layer of the hat, mask out the top of the hat and the sides of the hat so that the actual hat only extends to the edge of his ear on the left side and to the side of his head on the right side. Now apply your shadow to this hat layer so that the actual shadow is only present on his head and not the background of the image. If the shadow still spills out onto background image, then just do a bit more masking of the hat layer until you are satisfied. Then turn on the other hat layer.

Good. Just spotted something else. It appears as though House's hair can be seen behind the Foreman character. If this is the case, just clone some of the background image to cover it.

Love the concept. The guys inside the hat may use some shadows though
